These teams will than retain these positions for the Super Eight stage, even if they finish 1st or 2nd in their group but of course if they are knocked out by the team 3 in their group then in this case team 3 replaces the position of the team they knock out.
The semi final of the ICC T20 World Cup Cricket will be between the teams finishing 1st and 2nd in groups E & F, based on the points obtained in the Super Eight stage.
